the man Behind JAS

I’m Stuart - welder, fabricator, problem-solver, and the man behind JAS Welding.

I’ve been in the game for over 25 years, with the last 14 spent offshore - welding in all conditions, environments and making sure the job scope finished on time and on budget.

Offshore life taught me a lot: how to work under pressure, how to get the job done with limited resources, and how to do the job right first time, every time.

But after years of being away (and now with young kids at home) it was time for a change.

So I set up JAS Welding in 2012 and in between offshore trips I worked from home doing the jobs that had built up while away. Still the same level of graft, same attention to detail, same high standards - just closer to home.

I’m based in Harthill, right off the M8, so I can get to jobs quickly across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the rest of central Scotland (and beyond if needed).I’m not here to mess around. I show up when I say I will, and leave the job done right.
